Gluten Free Chocolate Tart

Adding foods that are high in resistant starch improves gut health, insulin sensitivity & boosts metabolism. Resistant starch fibre can be found in a lot of complex carbohydrates like green banana, sweet potato, cassava or breadfruit. 

This dessert looks divine & the best part? We can enjoy the taste and benefits altogether!

Here's how it's done:

Shortcrust:

200g gluten free mix for baking
40 g banana flour @dhownaturefoods
30 g coconut sugar
3 tbsp cacao powder
140g margarine or butter
2-3 tbsp cold water

Combine all ingredients. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees . Bake for 20-25 min . Let it cool !

Filling:

2 big avocado
2 tbsp of coconut oil melted
1-2 tbsp of peanut butter
1 big banana
3 tbsp cacao
2-3 tsp maple syrup
50 g dark chocolate, melted
Blend all ingredients! Pour into the crust! Refrigerate for 1 h. Top with fruits and enjoy!
